On September 15th was the official start for the home project “Recess Boat” at the international Montessori school in Munich, which is kindly supported financially by the Buntstiftung München. We are especially happy that a group of young club members was found to organize the project lessons together with Matthias Weinzierl and 12 students* and to take over the preparations for the building workshop. In the meantime, many ideas and concrete proposals in the form of sketches, models and descriptions have emerged, which will form the basis for the now upcoming planning of the break boat.
Also “on board” is the Munich material initiative “Treibgut”, through which we will obtain used materials for the construction of the boat and the interior.
As a partner project, it is planned that at the same time as the construction of the play boat in Munich, school furniture and play equipment for one of the school ships in Bangladesh (see project 1), which will be planned and executed by the students there.
